It’s been a while (three weeks to be precise), but Captain Backfire Returned playing a 2 hour acoustic marathon last night at Prohibition, Leeds.
The band were due to play with three other bands, all of whom failed to show leaving the Backfire boys to fill the whole night, playing form 8 till 10. The band gave it everything they had playing covers including, Hit Me Baby One More Time, and I’m A Believer, as well as original material such as Blue Moon, I’ll Be Waiting and Good Friday.
The high quality of the sound made the night all the more enjoyable for everyone concerned and the band left the stage happy with their performance and to applause and appreciation from the audience members.
Playing acoustic is only part of the Backfire package, but with their bassist and drummer away at university a full band set was ruled out, thought they will be back together soon.
